We often compare life and relationships to books:

“I read him like an open book.”

“We started a new chapter.”

“We turned over a new page.”

These phrases remind us that our lives are made up of many pages: experiences, lessons, and moments that create the story of who we are.

But unlike a book, life doesn’t pause neatly at the end of each page.

Each day builds on the one before.

The way we choose to “turn the page” determines how our story unfolds.

Your past doesn’t disappear when you move forward; however, it becomes part of your story.

Each page carries lessons that help shape the next one.

Paying attention to the page you’re on will help you live with more awareness and intention.

Before rushing into a new day, a new decision, or a new relationship/ chapter, pause for reflection.

  • What page am I on right now?

  • How does this stage of my life feel?

  • What’s happening in my relationships, career, or personal growth?

  • What made me turn the last page? (was it a choice, a circumstance, or an inner shift?)

  • How much time did it take me to turn the page?

  • What lessons do I carry forward?

  • What did the last experience teach me about myself?

  • How do I want to use this lesson in my next steps?

  • What will I write on the new page?

  •  What intention do I want to set?

  • Which values will guide my choices?

Life isn’t about tearing pages out or rewriting the past.

It’s about moving forward, page after page, with awareness, intention, and self-care.

How do you want the next page to read in your ongoing story?

THINK ABOUT IT...

I guess the past is just data that can be used to build a better tomorrow. There is a saying that Implies the fact of life being a lesson, not a life sentence! Plus, life is meant to be enjoyed and not rushed through! We should approach things with more intention, for more fulfillment and gratification.
